During this half-day masterclass, you will be taught the hand-building techniques to produce a pair of matching slab-built mugs. Once these have become leatherhard your tutor will show you how to add an underglaze to provide colour to the surface decoration.  You will then be taught how to carve a simple sgraffito design through the underglaze.  Please feel free to bring inspiration for your sgraffito design such as line drawings or photographs of sgraffito or lino prints.
 
This workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced potters.  The price is per person.  Following the course, your work will be bisque fired and then clear glazed before a final firing.  
 
Your pottery will be available for collection 3 weeks after the course. During term time we are at the studio each Wednesday morning (10am - 12noon), Thursday afternoon (2-4pm) and Thursday evening (6.30-8.30pm). Please call in at any of these times to collect your pottery.
