Pottery classes

Have you ever fancied having a go at pottery? We offer weekly hand building classes, private taster sessions and introduction to throwing on the wheel lessons.

 

We also offer outreach sessions to community groups and individuals who are unable to travel to The Hive such as nursing homes, Brownies etc.

Jeni Jacques-Williams, the owner of Lemon Studio, is a regular columnist for Clay Craft magazine, and provides monthly articles to support and guide new and experienced potters across the UK and internationally. 

Jeni is a member of the Northern Potters Association and is the founder of the Warrington Creatives Collective, a group of over 20 local makers and The Hive, a creative hub based in the beautiful village of Dunham Massey.

Sharon Giles is an experienced potter who regularly delivers community pottery classes and workshops in Stockport.  Sharon has joined Jeni to deliver throwing and hand-building courses.

John Slade is a local potter with 25 years' experience.  He has taught ceramics, art and design since 2003. John teaches throwing and hand-building classes at Lemon Studio. 

Juliet Myers creates and sells her own ceramics under the name Absolutely Clay Pottery and is based in Altrincham. Juliet loves to take her pottery wheel to music festivals where she teaches people how to 'throw-a-pot'.  She is co-ordinator of the Northern Potters SW region.
