Join us on Saturday 25th January 2020 when Jeni will teach you about and lead a raku firing. Please note that you will be glazing and firing pottery from a selection of items made by Jeni (unless you have made alternative arrangements to produce your own work and this has been agreed by Jeni).
Raku firing is the term given to a type of low-firing process that was inspired by traditional Japanese raku firing. Western-style raku involves removing pottery from the kiln while at bright red heat and placing it into containers with combustible materials such as straw, leaves etc. This is a very exciting pottery process that gives fast results and amazing effects. Your work will ready to take home from this event.
Please note that this event is weather permitting.
Refreshments are provided.
